developing new perspectives on wicked problems

Researching the value of design thinking for companies and businesses

Waarmakers was part of a research group around Twynstra Gudde and Het Nieuwe Instituut - Social Design For Wicked Problems, including amongst other parties; ING, Amsterdam West and Tabo Goudswaard.

Together with artist Lino Hellings Waarmakers formed a team researching the so-called 'wicked problem' (i.e. highly complex social issue) of Obesity.

Goal of the SDFWP project was to involve designers and artists in finding new approaches to complex social problems, off the beaten path, developing different views and perspectives. The results of the design research were published in 2014.

Waarmakers zijn gedreven ontwerpers die net dat stukje dieper graven en zodoende komen tot verrassende, innemende en spraakmakende ideeën.
